Join Mister Ed’s Elephant Museum & Candy Emporium for a Summer S’more Party, a free summer celebration and school supply drive, on Friday, July 26, from 6-8 p.m.
Cozy up around the campfire for special s’mores made by you. Make s’mores the Mister Ed’s way, by replacing the chocolate bar with chocolate peanut butter swirl fudge, dark chocolate caramel sea salt fudge or chocolate mint fudge. We’ll also have live music.
As part of the United Way of Adams County’s Back to School Project, bring new school supplies with you and earn a $1 voucher for each item donated (up to five) to spend in the store. The supplies will be distributed to more than 300 low-income students in Adams County’s school districts. Bringing items is not required but is certainly appreciated.
The following items are needed: backpacks, subject dividers, college ruled spiral notebooks, wide ruled spiral notebooks, college ruled loose leaf paper, wide ruled loose leaf paper, college ruled composition books, wide ruled composition books, 1” three ring binders, folders with pockets, crayons, pencil boxes, scissors (blunt and pointed tips), colored pencils, broad tip markers, pens, white erasers, #2 pencils, white glue, correction tape (no liquid), glue sticks, pink erasers, pencil cases, highlighters, fine tip markers, rulers, pencil cap erasers, scientific calculators, pencil sharpeners and mechanical pencils. Monetary donations, Staples or Wal-Mart gift cards are also needed so the United Way may purchase items not received through donations.
